adidas Golf

Adidas Golf has come a long way since its humble beginnings in a vacant building that was once used to assemble TV sets.

Recounting History: Company Profile

It was the spring of 1979 when Gary Adams, the son of a pro golfer, took out a $24,000 loan to create the TaylorMade Golf Company. At first, the company produced just one product; a stainless steel golf club.

But this wasn't just any golf club. The 12-degree driver looked, felt and sounded different to any other club. And it performed differently too, being far more forgiving on mis-hits and enabling players to launch the ball much easier than what players had been used to until then. Needless to say, Adams's golf club was, ahem... a hit.

Enviable Product line

Today, Adidas Golf produces a wide range of golfing apparel, from shoes to shirts and pants, tees and shorts for both men and women golfers, but the persistent drive towards combining authenticity and innovation, instilled in the company by Adams way back in 1979, still persists.

Like that first golf club, clothing and accessories from Adidas Golf are more than just that. Listen to any sales rep working in the AG franchise and you'll hear them frequently mention phrases like quality engineered materials and advanced comfort technology. It would be easy to forget they are actually talking about stuff you wear around a golf course.

Focus On Quality: Company Vision

But with features such as stretch fabrication for a better range of motion, water resistance for easy care and enhanced durability, sweat wicking fabrics for cooler, dryer pockets and even a patented silicone shirt gripper, it's clear that Adidas Golf puts a lot more thought into its products than its competitors.
